There are too many sports cars in the world, but not many brands can be called “top”.
No. 5 Porsche 918
The Porsche 918 is the production version of the previous 918RSR and 918spyder concept cars. The car was put into mass production in September 2013.
At the Geneva Motor Show in early March 2010, Porsche officially launched the new 918 Spyder hybrid concept supercar. With its excellent power and design, a large number of Porsche fans are eager to launch this model in mass production.
In early 2011, Porsche announced that it will begin mass production of the 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid in September 2013, with a minimum production price of $845,000.
The Porsche 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid supercar features a mid-range V8 engine with a displacement of more than 4.0 liters and a maximum output of approximately 368kw (500PS), which is responsible for driving the rear wheels. Two motors, each with a maximum output power of 160kw (218PS), drive two front wheels. In the case of a common output power, the hybrid system can constitute an all-wheel drive system. The gearbox is a Porsche 7-speed dual clutch PDK. The hybrid supercar has an acceleration time of 0-96km / h for only 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 320km / h.
- McLaren P1
The McLaren sports car McLaren P1 was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show at the end of September 2012. The car has more than 900 horsepower, can reach 100 kilometers in 2.8 seconds, and can reach 350 kilometers per hour. The car will be powered by a 3.8-liter V8 engine with a maximum power of 737 hp. It adds 179 hp through the KERS kinetic energy recovery system already used in F1 racing cars, so the McLaren P1 has a total power of 916 hp.
In terms of appearance, the McLaren P1 concept car draws on the design language of the mp4-12c and incorporates new design elements into the new car. There is almost no difference between the production version and the concept version of the McLaren P1.
The shape of the front face is relatively avant-garde. The ridge above the hood highlights the sense of power. The headlights are integrated with the wide lower suction plate. On the other hand, the car body is made of a large amount of carbon fiber. According to foreign media reports, McLaren’s later F1 successor will be 95% similar to this concept car.
The rear end of the vehicle is the most exciting design of the entire vehicle. A taillight consisting of LED strips outlines a complex tail profile. For such a super sports car, the design of the back end is often more important, because for those who are fortunate enough to see it, more will only see the back end.
Third place: Ferrari LaFerrari
LaFerrari (F70) is Ferrari’s flagship supercar, which debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2013, replacing the EnzoFerrari with only 499 models. LaFerrari uses a hybrid system called HY-kers, in which the 6.3-liter V12 naturally aspirated engine can output up to 588 kW and the motor can output 120 kW independently, so LaFerrari’s total output is 708 kW. LaFerrari’s 0-100km / h acceleration time is less than 3 seconds, 0-200km / h acceleration time is less than 7 seconds, 0-300km / h acceleration time is 15 seconds, the maximum speed exceeds 350km / h. LaFerrari sets new standards for super sports cars with superior performance, aerodynamic efficiency and handling.
LaFerrari is equipped with a dynamic vehicle control system that is integrated for the first time with active aerodynamic design and hydraulic systems in sports cars. Thanks to Ferrari’s patented logic chip that controls all automotive systems, LaFerrari delivers unparalleled performance, aerodynamic efficiency and handling. LaFerrari’s interior is designed with a human-machine interface (HMI) from the F1 single-seater, reflecting a highly advanced but uncompromising philosophy.
Second place: pagani Huayra
The Huayra is a mid-size supercar that was launched by Italian sports car manufacturer Pagani at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, replacing Pagani Zonda as the main model of Pagani. The Huayra is equipped with AMG’s 6.0-liter dual-supercharged V12 engine designed for Pagani, with a maximum power of over 700 hp and a peak torque of approximately 1000 N·m.
Flat wing door design, wedge nose, drop-shaped glass carriage, alpa color leather seat and a large mix of carbon fiber and aluminum alloy materials, video and audio system integration, driving communication system and other functional configurations, making Huayra also rich in luxury and high Technology.
