The supercar brand Apollo may not have the names like bulls and strollers, or even the “small workshops” of Pagani and Konigsegger. But this does not stop them from being enthusiastic about speed.
After all, Gumpert’s sales during his reign were terrible. The brand went bankrupt in 2013 and was acquired by a Hong Kong company in 2016, allowing the Apollo Roadster to survive. The Arrow Roadster, which debuted at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, was followed last year by the stylish Apollo Intensa Emozione or Apollo IE. Recently, the limited edition 10 speed monster has officially landed in China, and two of them have been bombed in Hong Kong.
As a super sports car, Apollo IE uses a carbon fiber single-shell structure and a series of carbon fiber components, making the car weigh only 1250kg, front to back ratio of 45:55. The Apollo IE features an exaggerated front lip, side skirt and tail diffuser, designed to fit the teeth. Its aerodynamics can deliver down to 1350kg at 300km / h.
Apollo IE uses red and black to create the interior, feeling like it is in the heart of an animal. In addition to the LMP1 standard, Apollo IE offers three driving modes – slippery, sporty and track or road.
The key is that Apollo IE is a “small studio”, but its function is not more powerful than the cow and the prancing horse. It features a 6.3-liter V12 naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 780 hp and a maximum torque of 760 nm. It is matched to the Hewland 6-speed sequential gearbox and can accelerate up to 100 km in 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 333 km / h.
Bilstein’s putter suspension and Bremno’s multi-piston calipers and ceramic brake discs make it a “happy, stable ride”. But the manhole cover on the domestic roads is still embarrassing.
The limited edition supercar will be sold for $2.7 million. This is $500,000 more than the official method of Laley’s “hot law”, close to the official price of Pagani’s Huayra BC and Bugatti’s Chiron supercar. The heart that can sell this price is really big. After all, who gave courage?
